Years Experience

If you are looking for friendly, expert advice from a lawyer who is available online or on the phone 6 days a week, then you’re in the right place.

Unlike most property lawyers, Sarah is available 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday (Saturday – mornings only, generally) and out of hours by email (the official office hours for phone calls, unless otherwise agreed, are 9am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday) and so on that basis, her quotes represents good value for money.

Sarah is also very experienced (over 25 years) and tri-qualified, so rest assured you would be in safe hands should you choose to instruct Sarah and her team.

Our Conveyancing

Freehold Sale

We deal with all aspects of a freehold sale from issuing the contract pack, dealing with enquiries and any associated conveyancing processes

Freehold Purchase

Most freehold purchases are straight forward. We deal with all aspects of these, from checking the title, raising enquiries and reporting to you

Leasehold sale

These are generally a lot more laborious that freehold sales, as in most cases, there are third party landlords, managing agents and management companies to deal with, but we will guide you through.

Leasehold Purchase

These are notoriously more complex than freehold purchases, as there is a lot more paperwork to go through (and a lot more legislation – more recently as a result of the cladding scandal and fire risk issues and remediation).

We act for clients and lenders in connection with residential property remortgages,  which is when you move your mortgage on your  existing property, from one lender to another.

Transfer of Equity

This is when a property’s owner adds or removes a person (or people) to and from the title no the home, altering the ownership of the property from a legal perspective (sometimes subject to a mortgage, or remortgage, court order or with funds changing hands).

Why Choose Sumhowe?

Sarah and her team offer a 5* service, as can be evidenced on Trust Pilot, and have a long standing relationship and brilliant reputation with all local agents and clients

Sarah offers a flexible and bespoke service tailored for each client individually. Being an ex-Partner of a traditional firm, Sarah found that all too often, clients get caught up in the huge volumes that conveyancers of today take on and this has a knock on effect on service levels.

All communication was professional and everyone I spoke to was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend Setfords, and would not hesitate to use them again.
